London 2012 will be the biggest event the BBC has covered in our lifetime, and will be broadcast to millions on TV, radio, online and IPTV.
This is another great event that is a must see. I was lucky enough be part of last years event which saw the likes of F1 presenter Jake Humphrey, GB sprinter Jeanette Kwakye, Karen Pickering MBE and the best social media people from Chelsea, Arsenal and RFU. This year the Beeb have put together another cracker….
So what part will social media play in the BBC’s coverage? How will athletes and journalists use social media during the Olympics? How can the BBC’s audience expect to interact with broadcast coverage and the key players from the worlds of sports and entertainment?
Chaired by the BBC’s director of 2012, Roger Mosey, this event brings you the athletes’ and broadcasters’ view, with reigning Olympic gold medallists and world rowing champions Mark Hunter MBE and Zac Purchase MBE on the panel, alongside athlete-turned-broadcaster Gail Emms, and Lewis Wiltshire from BBC sport.
If you have questions you would like to ask the panel, let us know at #SMWLDNbbc
And if you want to purchase any tickets (there are a batch or two that will be released shortly) then go to the Social Media Week London booking page.
