Monster and Marussia F1™ Team search for Social Media Driver

For the last few months Monster has been on a search for top talent to join the Marussia F1™ Team and now fans can get in on the action too. Monster and the Marussia F1™ Team are looking for a Social Media Driver for the British Grand Prix (7th – 8thJuly) to work behind the scenes and share their experience through the team’s social media channels.

All it takes is social media skills, creativity and imagination, as well as an unrivalled passion for Formula 1™.

The role will give one fan a truly unforgettable experience with exclusive access to the Marussia F1™ Team, a chance to interview the drivers and team members, interact with fans and get one of the best views at the British Grand Prix. The Social Media Driver will of course capture all of this in pictures and video to share with the world online.

But this isn’t a usual application process. Those looking to apply for this chance-of-a-lifetime role need to prove their social media credentials through interacting with Monster via the dedicated hashtag #SMDriver – evidence of their skills can include anything from a creative post, interviews with friends or even some fake commentary of a sporting event. The best creative execution will be chosen by Monster and the Marussia F1™ Team.

Alun Hindle, from the Marussia F1™ Team’s commercial team said: “This is a unique opportunity to win a behind-the-scenes experience at the British Grand Prix. We’re looking for someone with stand-out social media skills – their tweets, posts, pictures and videos are going to be seen by people all over the world. At Marussia F1™ Team we are constantly talking to and engaging with our fans and we’re looking for someone to be at the forefront of this when all eyes are on us during the incredible weekend of racing.”

“This really is a cool opportunity for anyone looking for a career in social media,” commented Michael Gentle, Head of Consumer Marketing at Monster.co.uk. “It is a chance to get exposure in one of the biggest sporting industries in the world and add some incredible experience to your CV. We’ll be judging all posts, videos and pictures through the #SMDriver hashtag during June to pick the lucky winner who will join the team at Silverstone in July.”

In my estimation, giving points upto 20th position, there is a large gap developing between Toro Rossi and the 3 new teams. Here are the standings after 7 races Toro Rossi 105 points
Caterham 42 "
Marussia 34 "
HRT 09 "
