July 17th sees a new football concept come to life at the O2 Arena, London with 6 of the best footballers in the world battling head to head. Sound exciting?
Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Christiano Ronaldo, David Villa, Cesc Fabregas and Didier Drogba will compete against each other in a series of challenges that will test Power, Curve, Precision, Control and Attack in an arena that will be transformed by the most amazing apce age laser light technology.
Founders David Piper and Terry Byrne have come up with what sounds like a very exciting concept where football meets entertainment. Most of our preconceptions of football entertainment will be challenged as everything is altered, including the ball and astro pitch…which will be black!

The concept is one that I think will get the interest of most football fans, and if that doesnt get you then the chance to see 6 of the best footballers in the world showing their skills and competing against one another surely will. I for one am going to be keeping a close eye on this one as it breaks the mould of traditional football contests. If they can bring in THE best player in the world, Lionel Messi, then it certainly will be a ‘must-see’ event.

The event has been postponed until summer 2011 after the withdrawl of Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard post England being knocked out of the World Cup.
